"Performing the Anthropocene" is an original devised physical theatre piece that explores the current geological epoch—an age where human activity has significantly impacted our climate and environment. This 8 phase multi-year transdisciplinary performance research project will weave together cutting-edge multimedia projection design, an original musical score, dance, and performance into a single endeavor bringing together students, faculty and the disciplines of the School of Music, Dance, and Theatre, the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, the School of Sustainability, and the ASU Global Futures Laboratory. It will premiere on the ASU Theatre Mainstage in Fall 2023.
