Julie Anand and Sally Ball will use their IHR Seed Grant to team-teach, drawing upon the funds to support a collaborative class as a lab alongside their students to hash out questions regarding how visual art can engage with text more than by illustrating it and how text can engage with image more than by describing it, while still being legibly responsive and connective. This will germinate a more ambitious Anand-Ball work to follow, building on their separate works connecting the text of modern human life on the ecosphere and intrusions of technology and corporate interests on privacy and on attention sovereignty, leading to publication in a public-facing venue where the literary/artistic/mission unites with theirs.

This is an IHR-Herberger Seed Grant.
