Systems bioethics aims to develop and pose significant bioethical questions about the interactive relations among biology, society, and human value systems, and then to elucidate policy-relevant and scientifically influential answers to these questions by bringing to bear analytical tools from bioethics, the philosophy of biology, and other disciplines as required.  An initial example to be explored in detail is the domain of brain science, in relation to neurogenetics, neurogenomics, neural cell transfer, and neural interface research.
