Empire and Postcolonial Studies Workshop: Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Futures

Melissa Free, Assistant Professor, Department of English

Bring a lunch and join us for the second event of our 2017-18 Faculty Seminar Series!

This participant-driven workshop is open to anyone working on or interested in empire, the colonial, or the postcolonial broadly conceived (this includes those with tangential interests, such as migration or race). The aims of the workshop are threefold: cultivating a network of scholars working in these areas across the humanities; discussing pedagogical subjects, strategies, goals, and challenges; and brainstorming ideas for collaborative research and pedagogical projects here at ASU. Participants are encouraged to contact Dr. Free (melissa.free@asu.edu) early in the semester to suggest topics, readings, or questions. Bring your lunch, meet some new colleagues, join the discussion, and check out the IHR’s new home in Ross-Blakley Hall.

Melissa Free is an Assistant Professor in ASU's English Department.

All food brought in must be peanut-free.
