|Spring 2021 Seed Grants||
The seed grant program is designed to provide support for projects that advance the IHR’s mission of fostering research that addresses or explores significant social challenges in the past, present and future, employing humanities or interdisciplinary methodologies.
Research Advancement and External Funding
In partnership with The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Institute for Humanities Research provides assistance for faculty and staff applying for external funding. Support includes identifying funding sources and providing assistance with all aspects of a grant application.
"I was appropriately kept apprised of where my grant was at each stage, and once I got the grant I think the follow-up has been fantastic, in just making sure I know what I’m doing as I’m spending money, making sure that I make good choices, every time I’ve asked for help it’s been plentiful, so it’s been a really good experience."
"Funding from the IHR allowed a collaborative project to both take shape as well as to develop in new directions. It connected me with an important figure in my field. It also facilitated several outcomes, which included multiple publications, a conference and a successful fellowship application."
"I have received wonderful assistance with grant preparation and reporting."
