New “Humanities and Public Life” book series accepting proposals for submission

The University of Iowa Press has announced the launch of a new books series, Humanities and Public Life, and is currently accepting manuscript proposals for submissions.
The series, edited by Teresa Mangum (Obermann Center, University of Iowa) and Anne Valk (John Nicholas Brown Center, Brown University), will feature manuscripts that examine projects using the arts and humanities to promote community building and civic change.
The short books will meet the needs of publicly engaged scholars and their community partners for models of rigorous work, critical thinking about best practices, and strategies for measuring a project’s impact.
For more information and proposal guidelines, visit the University of Iowa Press’s website. Please send inquiries and proposals to Catherine Cocks.
